Please come to Japara on Friday afternoon/evening on February 24th. Transportation Semarang-Japara vv. will be organized. From the downtown Japara we will go to the village Bondo to enjoy the tasty Bondo style tahu campur (fried tofu mixed with vegetables with sweet black soy sauce mixed with crunchy peanuts). The night will be spent camping on the Bondo beach. We can play guitar and sing at the campfire and/or hunt for clams that we can boil for late night snacks.

Saturday morning the next day we’ll have breakfast at the fishermen’s harbour. Aftersales breakfast we have time to enjoy the beach by swimming, tanning or taking a walk. Then off to the Lake of 1000 Roots. After lunch, we will visit Rumah Kartini to learn about Kartini and get to know the community that unites and promote Jepara’s culture among the young generation. Then we visit Omah Petrok, home of the youth organization of the village Troso that thrive to develop Troso’s own signature pattern. Get to know the people behind the crafts and learn all about the designs and history behind it. Have a go yourself and make a few souvenirs to take home.

Saturday evening we will spend at Rumah Belajar Ilalang, where we have an art podium. Listen to a guitar performance and a sound experiment from Palembang, Sumatra.

Then Sunday morning :
It’s a color event for kids! But adults are of course not excluded. Let’s have fun with kids from the small town of Jepara and the surrounding villages. Body painting, t-shirt colouring, let’s play with colours with the kids!

After that, we can go to swim in a river nearby. The river has a small waterfall and situated near a green rice field.

In the afternoon we return home with new knowledge, exciting experience, new friends and pleasant memories.
